Brief Biography of Mr. Muhammad Rabiul Awal
District and Sessions Judge, Moulvibazar.

Mr. Muhammad Rabiul Awal joined at Moulvibazar as the District and Sessions Judge on 3 November 2025.  

Personal Information: Mr. Muhammad Rabiul Awal is a member of the 24th BCS (Judiciary) batch. His service ID or personal identification number is 2006202107 and his gradation number is 195. Before joining this district, he served as the Judge (District & Sessions Judge) of Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal, Sylhet. 

Education: The Honourable District and Sessions Judge completed his SSC from Nabakumar Institution School under Dhaka Board, and passed HSC from Satkhira Government College. He later obtained his LL.B (Honours) and LL.M degrees from the University of Chittagong. 

Professional Career: The Honourable District and Sessions Judge began his career on 15 March 2006 as an Assistant Judge at Nilphamari district. He subsequently served as a Senior Assistant Judge in Mymensingh district; as Joint District and Sessions Judge in Barishal and Madaripur; as Additional District and Sessions Judge in Chattogram and Narayanganj; and as Chief Judicial Magistrate in Bogura. Recently, he served as the Judge (District & Sessions Judge) of Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal, Sylhet. He is currently serving as the District and Sessions Judge of Moulvibazar district. 

Training: During his career, Mr. Muhammad Rabiul Awal completed foundational training in Judicial Administration Training Institute and participated Survey and Settlement Course. He also participated in short course offered by Western Sydney University, Australia and National Judicial Academy Bhopal and Maharashtra Judicial Academy, India.

Travel: He has traveled to India, Thailand, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Nepal.

Personal and Family Life: Mr. Muhammad Rabiul Awal was born in a respected Muslim family at Hossendi of Gazaria Upazila, Munshiganj district. His father’s name is Md. Shahidullah. He is married and father of one daughter.
